Flashy is made by Andre Medeiros. This policy explains how the app and this website handle your information.

Your study material

Cards, review history, imported documents, attachments, and preferences are stored on your device. Flashy does not send your study material to a server operated by us.

iCloud

When iCloud is available, Flashy uses Apple’s CloudKit service to synchronize supported library data and attachments through your iCloud account. Some information, including unfinished document drafts and diagnostic logs, stays on the device. Apple processes iCloud data under its own privacy policy and your iCloud settings.

Apple Intelligence

Optional card drafting and study perspectives use Apple’s on-device models. Card drafting processes the passages you choose; study perspectives use calculated review facts. Flashy does not send these prompts or responses to a developer-operated AI service. Generated suggestions remain yours to review and approve.

Camera and files

Flashy requests camera access only when you scan a document. Scanned images become part of your study material. The system’s photo and file pickers let you choose what to import. You can change camera permission in iOS Settings.

You choose when to export material or share it with another app or person. Opening source links or other websites connects you to those services, whose privacy policies apply. Flashy’s extensions use an App Group on your device to exchange shared captures and the widget’s study summary with the app.

Diagnostics and feedback

Flashy keeps a limited local log of app events and technical error codes. It excludes card text, document contents, filenames, source links, and account identifiers. Stored history is capped at 500 events and 256 KiB; events older than seven days are removed when the log is accessed. Temporary export copies are cleaned up on later exports and may also be removed by iOS. Nothing is automatically sent to us. Export Logs lets you choose whether and where to share a report. Send Feedback opens your email app without automatically attaching logs. If you email us, we receive the message, your email address, and any information or attachments you choose to include. We use that information to respond and investigate the issue; your email provider also processes the message.

Analytics and advertising

Flashy includes no advertising or third-party analytics SDK and does not track you across apps or websites. Apple may provide developers with platform diagnostics or analytics according to your Apple settings.

Retention and deletion

Study material stays in your library until you delete it. Deletions of synchronized records are propagated through iCloud when sync is available. Removing the app removes its local data but does not necessarily remove iCloud copies or device backups; manage those through your Apple account settings. Copies you export remain wherever you save or send them. Support correspondence is retained as needed to address your request; email hello@andre.cool to request deletion of correspondence held by us.

This website

This site uses no analytics scripts, advertising, signup forms, or tracking cookies. It is designed to be hosted on Netlify, which processes web requests—including IP addresses and request details—to deliver and secure the website. See Netlify’s privacy policy for information about the hosting service.
